Leanne’s My Greatest Work is released to radio ..
She says of the track ‘The underlying inspiration for the song is that although I am an undeniably proud farmer, nurse, daughter, mother, partner as well as singer songwriter, it’s clear to me that with all of this, my greatest challenge and achievement is that of mentor and role model to my two girls, the next generation, and it’s not been an easy road.’
‘I think it’s a responsibility that many of us find is harder, but also more rewarding, than we ever expected.’
It was a semi-finalist in the 2008 UK songwriters Awards, also pitched through LeAnne’s publishers Aussie Independent Music|Pegasus Music last year to US artists Leann Rimes and Martina McBride.
From a family of self styled poets "every family gathering was a laugh because there was always
a rhyming tale about the poor guest of honour" LeAnne has used her beginnings well and has
gone on to receive many accolades for her songs.
LeAnne’s first and foremost calling is that of a songwriter and she has had recognition this field in the last couple of years with a song submitted in a special presentation to the
Dixie Chicks and by others being looked at by Nashville publishers for such high profile artists as Brad Paisley, Reba McIntyre and Sara Evans amongst others.
From her country music roots, to contemporary acoustic/ folk ,rock and pop; her writing knows no particular genre, and her songs are as diverse as the life situations that they portray.
"Her empathy and ability to put other's feelings into words, as well as her own obvious life experiences all come together to shape just what this singer songwriter does…....creates songs that have a reality and power that are both thought provoking and inspirational…"
